My wife Andi volunteers as a counsellor for MS Auckland, and my mother in law had MS. My background has been in university academics in both NZ and overseas, including USA and Scotland specialising in public health and psychosocial studies. Beyond the university career I was for 18 years a World Health Organisation scientist with senior post appointments in Educational Development and Support of Medical and Health Personal in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, and in WHO Central Office, Geneva, in the Global Program on HIV/AIDS, and the Mental Health Program.
I am now retired, and pleased to contribute to MS Auckland in service development and support.
