Life Buoy for Multiple Sclerosis - 19th October

We warmly invite you to join us for our Annual Fundraiser Luncheon, Life Buoy for MS, Sunday, 19th October. Come along with friends and whānau for a fabulous afternoon while supporting people with multiple sclerosis.

Hosted at the stunning Hyundai Marine Sports Centre with second-to-none views over the harbour.  The afternoon kicks off with a glass of bubbles or juice on arrival before sitting down to a wonderful three course lunch, wine is included on the table and a cash bar is available. Grant Sharman will be our guest speaker, Scotty Stevenson our MC, and John Bowring as auctioneer.

Proudly supported by Barfoot & Thompson

Grant Sharman is a celebrated New Zealand mouth painter and former elite wheelchair rugby player, coach, and high-performance sports administrator. After a spinal injury from a sporting accident in his youth, Grant forged a new path, both on the international sports stage and in the art world. He represented and coached the Wheel Blacks to Paralympic gold and later led Paralympics New Zealand’s high-performance programme. Inspired by fellow artist Bruce Hopkins, Grant took up mouth painting in 1980 and went on to become a full member and board representative of the global Mouth & Foot Painting Artists Association. His vibrant acrylic and watercolour works reflect the same dedication, resilience, and creativity that have defined every stage of his remarkable life.
